Me and an ally did it Monk Ranger QZ-way, so spellbreaker prevents u from dieing due to the very first mesmer enchant remover.
after the first wave we resigned and went back in.
Rangers can easily get a nice core income by echo-trapping. its possible to trap 2 points next to the baby. Simply watch the foes place to attack the baby in the first round.
Next rounds place your traps there ^^.
Dont be fast with resigning because some destroyers may still die due to bleeding ;-). let 'em finish the baby to get back out.
Folks, if i am not writing any topics or posts within the next 2 weeks, plz call the police and give the hint, that maybe that ally has something to do with my traceless dissappearence.

I decided to try something new. Because you get less drops when lots of foes die at once I opted to kill them one at a time. And because you can't use direct damage spells on them I opted for degen.
Stoneflesh Aura
Obsidian Flesh [E]
Glyph of Swiftness
Stone Striker
Mantra Of Earth
Conjure Nightmare
Empathy
[free slot]
I found that I could use Empathy and Conjure Nightmare twice each on a foe to kill it. Make sure not to attack the Destroyers of Thoughts as they have anti-hex stuff. So after a bout 8 minutes I screwed up abut got 7 cores out of it.
The only 2 drawbacks I found is that you could get more than 12 drops and the cores might not show up in the after mission drops window, so it's worth picking them up as they drop. The other drawback is the raw time you have to sit there killing them one by one.
I would love to try and get 2 kinds of degen on them but they are immune to burning and when I tried to stack Phantasm on Nightmare it just replaced it. I end up with only 7 used skills and have a free slot for something...

There may be many causes of degen, but there is only one kind of it.
And that one kind is capped at -10 pips, no matter what you do. Which is why Nightmare (-8) + Phantasm (-5) won't work together. Why don't you take along [skill]Images of Remorse[/skill]? At Illusion 4 through 11 it will give you just those 2 additional pips that will still stack, and it does a little conditional damage on top of this.
On a side note: I don't really understand why you discarded Sliver Armour. It, too, targets only one foe at a time, doesn't it? And it comes from your maxed out attribute, whereas when using Empathy you have to invest points into yet a third line of your secondary.....

Although it targets 1 foe at a time, it still kills them at a very fast rate, sorta acts like an AoE spell.
Tried the use of degen to kill each destroyer one by one, good find, loot is good worth the time to degen one by one to death, nice amounts of destroyer core drops per run, however, for me, its too slow for my liking
I'll work on other professions to see if they can possibly farm destroyers solo, but have to get them there first, which takes a bit

Sorry to bump up this old thread, but i've been trying this build and it goes well, but I can never keep all 3 enchants up with Glyph of Swiftness.
I'm using a Totem Axe as well.
Then when an enchantment drops off, I die.
Should I use glyph on all enchants? Do I need to keep all enchants on always [ Ob Flesh, Stone Strike and Stonefelsh Aura]
Since they have all different recharge times and go for different durations, I don't know what to do..
Someone please help me!

You must use Glyph of Swiftness in conjunction with Obsidian Flesh. It's the only way to keep it up constantly, and you must use it as soon as it recharges
And you also have to keep your Earth Magic at 16.

I suggest you prioritize Obsidian Flesh as the first Enchantment to cast. If you have both of them recharged at the same time, cast Obsidian Flesh.
The recharge of Obsidian Flesh is reduced to 23.3 seconds (23 seconds if rounded lower) and with Earth Magic at 16 and with an "of Enchanting" mod, it will last 25 seconds,so you have a 2 second window (So you have 1 extra second at your disposal) to recast Obsidian Flesh.
Stoneflesh Aura, on the other hand, has it's recharge time reduced to ~12 seconds, and last ~19 seconds, so you have more than enough time to recast it.

If you have 16 earth and you are using ANY +20 enchant wep then you should have no issue with your enchantments. As long as you have Glyph of Swiftness cast before Obsidian Flesh wears off, and only use Glyph of Swiftness for Obsidian Flesh, then uyou should always have enough time to get Obsidian Flesh back up, You can let any 1 of the other enchants fail as long as it's only for a second or 2 then get them back up. Getting into postion and casting the offensive stuff is always secondary to keeping your enchants running.

well people basically beat me to answering your question. As a suggestion and reminding you, always always keep obsidian flesh up constantly, once it recharge cast it ASAP, don't matter what your doing cast it and be sure to glyph of swiftness applied well before it recharges. If your still have problems, i suggest you use the first ever build i used to test the idea, take out the crystal wave and Teinai's Crystals for Armor of Earth and aura of restoration, armor of earth should reduce damage in take to 5-10 damage which helps if you have stoneflesh down

And about armor, if you can afford another full set, you can buy it, and use Geomancer Insignia's on all 5 armor pieces. You're pretty much invincible as long as you have that, provided you keep up all the Enchantments. Energy is no problem either since Mantra of Earth is providing you with more than enough Energy.

In wave 2 the dervishes deal a LOT of damage, enough to hurt you through all the enchants. When the rangers arrive they have broadhead arrow, which combined with the number of things hitting you makes casting nigh on impossible.
For those having trouble with chaining obsidian flesh, take a ranger hero with serpents quickness and quickening zephyr and flag it next to the dragon. Because the cores are loot scaled, your drops won't be affected and you'll have plenty of time to manage your enchants.

You might be able to do it with a Hero Bonder with Dismiss Condition, Mend Condition or any kind of condition removal, but the Dervs are still to strong with damage, so it means the monk will need heals also.
